Sex Snob by Elizabeth Hayley Review

Book blurb

Sex Snob is a spin-off of Pieces of Perfect but can be read as a stand-alone novel.

Twenty-nine year old wild, carefree, and brutally sarcastic Amanda Bishop thought her three rules for dating would weed out unworthy suitors. And they did. Until she met Shane Reed, her smart-ass, sexy-as-sin CrossFit coach who pushes all her buttons. He’s the man she loves to hate. But when the hate begins to ebb away, and is replaced by feelings she can’t handle, Amanda hides behind her rules. Will the electric chemistry she feels with Shane allow her to get beyond a painful past, or will she push him away with her rules? Rules that make her the ultimate Sex Snob.

About the Authors

Elizabeth Hayley is actually "Elizabeth" and "Hayley," two friends who love reading romance novels to obsessive levels. This mutual love prompted them to put their English degrees to good use by penning their own. The product is Pieces of Perfect, their debut novel. They learned a ton about one another through the process, like how they clearly share a brain and have a persistent need to text each other constantly (much to their husbands' chagrin). They are currently getting ready to release Sex Snob, a novel centered around Lily’s roommate Amanda, and have also begun writing the sequel to Pieces of Perfect.

"Elizabeth" lives with her husband, one and a half year old daughter and nutjob of a dog. “Hayley” lives with her husband and her own crazy dog. They are about to adopt a newborn soon. Elizabeth Hayley's writing motto is best captured by the words of Patrick Dennis: "I always start with a clean piece of paper and a dirty mind."

Game

Cock ring or butt plug?

Hayley: Cock ring, hands down.  The vibrating disposable ones are the best.

Elizabeth: Cock ring. Butt plugs remind me of Pulp Fiction. And it's not a fond reminder.

Lace or leather?

Hayley: Lace

Elizabeth: Lace

Silk or velvet?

Hayley: Silk

Elizabeth: Silk

Red or Black?

Hayley: Either one, if the outfit’s hot.

Elizabeth: Black.

Vibrator or nipple clamps?

Hayley: Do you think anyone is interested in buying used nipple clamps on ebay? I’ll sell them at a cheap price. They’re like new, I swear. Vibrator all the way!!!

Elizabeth: Vibrator. Pain is not my game.

Blindfold or Gag?

Hayley: Blindfold.  I’m not good at being quiet. Ever.  I’m not just talking about sex.

Elizabeth: Blindfold. Again . . . Pulp Fiction.

Handcuffs or silk tie?

Hayley: I’d honestly take either, though I’ve never done either one.  If I had to pick, I’d say silk tie.  Elizabeth and I actually had a bet one time to see who could get her husband to tie her to the bed first. Elizabeth won in the first 24 hours.  She just told him she had a bet with a friend, not to ask any questions, and to tie her to the bed. Cheater!!!  Now I have a bed that has no place to tie anything to.  I feel like I’ll be missing out forever now : (

Elizabeth: Silk tie. It makes me feel like Anastasia Steele.

Paddle or riding crop?

Hayley: I have a paddle that I got at a toy party, but I’ve never used it.  I’ll take my husband’s palm any day though.

Elizabeth: Neither. If someone hits me, I'm hitting them back.

Ice or wax?

Hayley: Never done wax, so I’ll go with that.  I’m always up for something new.

Elizabeth: Wax. I hate to be cold.

Dom or sub?

Hayley: Sub

Elizabeth: Sub

Top or Bottom?

Hayley: If we’re going by frequency alone, I’ll say top.

Elizabeth:  Different days, different preference.

Whipped cream or chocolate sauce?

Hayley: I’ve done both numerous times.  I would probably say chocolate sauce.  There’s something about watching it drip down you while he licks it off. It requires a shower though, so you need more time.  So does honey (which is so freakin’ hot, by the way).

Elizabeth: I am so lame compared to Hayley, but I don't like incorporating food. What a mess!  But, if I had to choose, I'd say chocolate sauce because neither me nor my husband like whipped cream.

Lights on or off?

Hayley: Off or with a low light

Elizabeth: On, but just enough to be able to see each other.

Talking or quiet?

Hayley: Talking, especially if he’s the one doing it.

Elizabeth: Quiet. I like to focus on sensations. Talking distracts me from that.

Quickie or take your time:

Hayley: Usually taking my time, but a quickie can be pretty hot in the moment.

Elizabeth: I'm not a fan of delayed gratification. We both know what we're chasing; lets just catch it already lol

Sex tape or not?

Hayley: No way I need to see that!

Elizabeth: No way!  When we become famous, the last thing we need is a sex tape leak lol.

Bed or other surface?

Hayley: Other surface can be hot when it's done spontaneously.

Elizabeth: Definitely a bed.
