Teodora Kostava Interview.

Interview

  1. What got you into writing?
I’m not sure there’s one specific event that got me into writing. I’ve been do it ever since I can remember. I remember in school when we had a writing homework, all my classmates would grumble and moan that their weekend would be ruined, while I felt so happy and was already working out the outline in my head.
  1. What plans do you have for the future ( you don't have to give out lots of details you can say something like I'm working on a few novels.)
Well, I’m working on Lisa and Gino’s book which is called Colour Me Inside and hopefully will be out in March 2014. I’m also working on another project, but I can’t say much about that yet, it’s top secret *winks*. As for any long term plans, I just want people to read and enjoy my novels. I can’t even try to explain how wonderful it is when someone emails me and say how much what I’ve written has touched them.
  1. How do you handle being stalked and do you have more than one stalker?
I guess I’m lucky because my stalkers are amazing. We have a wonderful, mutually satisfying relationship, thank you.
  1. Can you pick a favourite character?
God, no. I have so many!
  1. What's the best part about being an Indie author?
I’m a huge control freak and I’m past the point where I try to deny it. So for me, the best part is being in complete control of your work, your schedule, your marketing, your distribution – everything. It’s amazing and I’d never be able to let that go.
  1. What's the worst thing about being an Indie author?
I honestly don’t see any cons. Being an indie author is hard work, trust me. But when you love it, you’re able to look past the sleepless nights and the amazon rankings and all that.
  1. Do you have a favourite place to write?
Not a favourite, no. I usually write in my office. But I also love writing in cafes and in my local library – I love that place! It’s so peaceful and smells of books!
  1. Does anything help you to write like a certain playlist, snack?
I can’t write without music. I don't have a specific writing playlist – I just play whatever I’m in the mood for. What helps me the most is disconnecting the wi-fi and logging out of facebook, twitter, tumblr, instagram....
  1. If you could meet one other author dead or alive who would it be?
Again, I have to choose one! That’s torture, I have so many authors I want to meet. But if I absolutely have to choose just one, I’d go with Abigail Roux. She’s so much fun and we’ll have a blast! And hopefully I’ll manage to get her drunk and she’ll tell me if Ty and Zane will get married by the end of the series.
  1. What's the one book you feel should be on everyone's Read list?
I feel that everyone should be able to choose their own reading list – no one book is good for all. As long as people have reading lists and read and enjoy books, I’m happy.

Thank you Teodora for the Interview

Then Now Forever By Teodora Kostova Review

Book Blurb

 THEN

"Gia had let Beppe into her life so easily, as if it was the most natural thing in the world. She’d held him when he’d hurt so badly he’d thought he might die; she’d talked him down when he’d been so angry he’d considered doing something he’d regret for the rest of his life.
Gia had saved his life.
At least once he needed to be strong for her.
This right now, this moment, was theirs. It belonged to them, not to abusive or dead fathers, not to guilt, regret or sorrow, not to the past or the future."

But will their love survive when tragedy separates them?

“I have to go, Gia. I’m tired and I feel empty. I know you need me, but I have nothing left to give you. I need to heal.”

“I miss you so much it’s hard to breathe.”

NOW

"Beppe was still Gia’s closest friend. But they’d never be anything more than that again. Remembering what it felt like to have the person you love most in the world be torn away from you still hurt. Gia was determined never to be put into that position again."

There was never lack of love, but can Beppe win Gia’s trust again?

FOREVER

“When I was broken you gave me pieces of yourself and made me whole again.”

'Then, Now, Forever' is the second book of the Heartbeat series. It features characters from the first book in the series - 'In a Heartbeat' - but can be read as a stand alone novel. It's the complete story of Beppe and Gia - no cliffhanger.

New Adult Contemporary Romance, recommended for readers 17+ due to language, sexual situations and incredibly hot Italian guys.

My Review

Cover: 5 stars
Sex/Steaminess : 2 stars but it's a NA book so you don't expect much sex.
Storyline : 5 stars
Characters : 5 stars
Overall average : 4.25 stars

Personal rating : 5 stars.

Book Pairing:- M/F
Did it give me a book hangover :- Yes
Is this a review book or personal read :- Beta Read but it would have been a personal read anyway.

Why did I read this book?

I was privileged to be asked to Beta read this book and I jumped at the chance.

What I liked about the book.

* Beppe is so loveable. I just wanted to wrap him in a blanket and hold him.
* The writing and story line flowed well and it was very easy to get lost in the book.
* Although it featured characters from the first book it was a totally different story with only a mild recap. This was purely Beppe and Gia instead of a constant recap of Max and Stella.

What I didn't like about the book.

I have already said this to the author but I felt a character which was included at the end of the book needed to be included a bit more. It seems he was just added to the story but not really included.

Would I read more from this Author?

Yes, I have already added the nest book to my wishlist for when it's out.

Would I recommend this book?

Yes. To anyone that enjoyed the first book, In A Heartbeat and to romance readers in general.

About the Author

Hi, my name is Teodora and I live in London with my husband Ted and my son Jason. I've been writing ever since I can remember, but it became my full time job in 2010 when I decided that everything else I've tried bores me to death and I have to do what I've always wanted to do, but never had to guts to fully embrace. I've been a journalist, an editor, a personal assistant and an interior designer among another things, but as soon as the novelty of the new, exciting job wears off, I always go back to writing. Being twitchy, impatient, loud and hasty are not qualities that help a writer, because I have to sit alone, preferably still, and write for most of the day, but I absolutely love it. It's the only time that I'm truly at peace and the only thing I can do for more than ten minutes at a time - my son has a bigger attention span than me.
When I'm procrastinating, I like to go to the gym, cook Italian meals (and eat them), read, listen to rock music, watch indie movies and True Blood re-runs. Or, in the worst case scenario, get beaten at every Wii game by a six year old.

In A Heartbeat By Teodora Kostova Review

Book Blurb.

In a Heartbeat description:

Stella

I’ve been in and out of hospitals for the past ten months. I’ve had half my liver removed and even though this time the doctors are very optimistic that they’ve removed all of the tumours, they can’t be sure. In another three months they want me here again for a check up. Right now I feel better than I’ve ever felt. I know the damn thing is gone, at least for the moment. Despite that, I can’t make any plans for the future, not yet. I need to go somewhere where nobody knows me, where I can relax and maybe even forget about all this. Where I can meet people who don’t think of me as the girl who lost her father and her brother in a car accident, and who has cancer. I want to have fun, even if it’s for a couple of months.”

When Stella decides to visit her estranged cousin Lisa in Genoa, she has no idea Italy will give her a new reason to live.

Max

Her gaze locked on a scene so beautiful, the picturesque beach paled in comparison. A lifeguard emerged from the water, his orange trunks stuck to his legs and water dripping all over him. He shook his head to get rid of some of the water in his hair and Stella felt as if everything started developing in slow motion – tiny drops of water slid from his neck down his broad chest and muscular arms, along a weaving tattoo on his right shoulder, and continued downwards towards his chest and washboard stomach, finally getting lost in the waistband of his trunks. A part of another tattoo peeked over his trunks on his left hip, the other part hidden under them. It was a total Baywatch moment.”

Their love is epic. But there are too many things keeping them apart.

How could you keep this from me, Lisa? If you had told me the first day I met him, I would have avoided him like the plague. Nothing would have happened between us.”
I kept your secrets, too, Stella.”

Are Max and Stella strong enough to fight not only for their love, but for their lives?

Why did I read this book?
I read this book simply because of the author. I was talking with her around the release and she asked me to read it and pass on my thoughts so I did. I'm glad I did as I really enjoyed this book.

What did I like about the book.
* The main character is a Liverpool fan just like the men in my life.
* The characters are adorable and very easy to connect with.
* The writing style flowed well and sucked you in.
* It wasn't all romance, they had to work at it. They over come the odds though out the book.
* Its an original story which fits into the genre nicely yet has several qualities which makes it stand out of the crowd.

What I didn't like about the book.
There was very little that I didn't like. I enjoyed this book and even had a book hangover because of it. I guess as I have to put something then it is the fact that the book ended.

Would I read more by this author?
Absolutely.

Would I recommend this book?
Yes. To anyone who reads romance should enjoy this book. This is a NA book not erotica but still worth the read.

Excerpt :
He stepped off the elevator behind her and followed her silently as she led the way down the long dark hall to her office. She unlocked the door and walked in without turning on a light. Wade stood leaning his shoulder against the doorjamb, watching as she fumbled around in her desk drawers for only a few seconds before she retrieved the phone. A loose grin formed on her lips as she held the phone in her hand and when she looked up at him he projected a similar smile back.
Something happened when their eyes met through the dark in the place where she had hired him, the place where he had touched her arm and assured her she was the boss. Sabrina’s face fell, her tongue swiped over her bottom lip, sucking it into her mouth for a moment before letting it pop back out. Wade couldn’t breathe. Sabra.
Her brows drew together as she stepped toward him. Wade could see her breathing picking up, shamelessly glancing at her chest. He heard himself swallow hard when she finally reached him. She looked up at him and pressed her lips together again. She’s your BOSS, his head screamed.
Sabrina’s hand moved out in front of her and Wade barely flinched at the motion. Her fingertips landed on his chest and he wanted nothing more than to sigh at the feeling, but he tried to stay cool. She was staring at his chest and her own hand as it slid down the panel of buttons on his shirt. When her hand stopped at the waistband of his black slacks, he couldn’t hold in the trembling breath that made its way out of him. Her eyes flashed up to his again. Fuck it, it’s just a job, he thought. Just as he reached to slip his hand to the back of her neck and pull her close, her cell phone blared through the office. She jumped and looked down at it in her other hand. When she looked at him she sighed with that same unnamable look in her eyes.
“It’s late,” he said.
Sabrina nodded. “And I’m drunk,” she added with a crestfallen smile.
“Right,” Wade uttered.

About the author:
In 2008, Kate Roth decided to get real about her love of writing. She signed up for a course after-hours at the local high school called 'So You Want To Write A Book?'. Indeed, she did! For years Kate had been dreaming up love stories in her head and she'd even managed to write a few of them down but it was that class that gave her the drive to finally do something more with her ideas.

Kate Roth's first two novels, new adult romance The Low Notes and new adult paranormal romance Reckless Radiance were released by Rebel Ink Press. Natural Harmony is her third novel and her first venture into independent publishing. She is hard at work on the next two novels in the Confession Records collection, as well as her first erotic romance, Last Resort.

About The Author

Teri Riggs was destined to be a writer. As a small girl she didn’t read bedtime stories, she made up her own. Who needed Little Red Riding Hood or The Three Little Pigs when there were so many great tales bouncing around in her head? When she grew up and became a mother to three little girls, she continued the tradition of making up bedtime stories. On the occasions she chose to tell conventional fairytales, Teri usually gave them a bit of tweaking here and there or added a new ending. Her girls loved it.
After her daughters had the nerve to actually grow up and leave home, Teri discovered she had a passion for writing and jumped right in. It came as no surprise she chose to write mysteries and happily-ever-after’s since that’s the genres she loves to read.

Teri lives in Marietta, Georgia with her husband, one of her daughters and two dogs that seem to think they rule the world. And some days Teri thinks maybe they do.

-Cooper, Amazon

Enjoy the following excerpt for RESOLUTIONS:

Beefy hands wrenched Eve awake from a fevered sleep, pulled her from the cell, and shoved her into a musty-smelling hallway. I’m being moved? A guard pushed her with one hand, keeping a tight grip on an AK-47 rifle with his other.

Her shoulder throbbed in perfect cadence with the pains shooting through her broken wrist, and she had one badass headache from being punched in the face a few too many times. Using her good hand, she walked fingers across one cheek, then the other. The right side was totally numb. Her eye had swollen shut, and she couldn’t see a damn thing out of it. She ran her tongue across her teeth and tasted the tart, copper flavor of blood. Three teeth loose. Well, at least they’re still in place.

In spite of the relentless pain, she stayed determined to survive whatever Mendoza dished out. She wasn’t a quitter. No, sir. Duncan Falls, Iowa didn’t grow quitters. Eve ignored the constant ache in her ribs, courtesy of a guard’s overzealous kick, and took in a deep breath. She willed herself to stay alert, to keep pushing. Escape. Third times the charm

Eve slapped the guard’s dirty hand. “Hey, Pedro, stop being so damned pushy. Where we going anyway? We got a hot date I’ve forgotten about?”

He looked puzzled then shoved her again.

“Don’t understand English, do you, Diego? Bet you understand this.” Eve drove her elbow into the guard’s face. Thick rubbery cartilage gave, and she whooped triumphantly.

Blood squirted from his nose and he screamed.

Eve stepped back. “Yep, I’m pretty sure you understand that.”

Unable to grab the guard’s assault rifle, she clutched her injured shoulder, and took off in a slow jog, no longer able to push any harder.

Her escape was short lived.

Interview with Author Natalie Graham

Interview

What got you into writing?

I started writing whilst I was pregnant with my second daughter. I was having a difficult time with her and reading afforded me a distraction. That eventually stopped working and so I began writing as another method of distraction.

What plans do you have for the future?

I’m currently working on the sequel to Broken Ever After. It doesn’t have a title yet but I’ll be sure to tell you when it does. I have one more book to come after that in this series then I have plans for a different series.
I also have plans to do the other POV from BEA. I originally wrote it in a dual POV but ended up taking them out and put the removed chapters aside, so Jamie and Riley both keep nagging me for their side to be told. I’m not exactly sure when this will happen, or if anyone even wants it? But I’ll see once the third book is out if anyone would like them. I may release them on my blog, or as novellas, I’m really not sure yet.

As your book is about a teacher and student......is this a fantasy or based on an old crush?

HAHA! I’ve been asked this soooo many times! (Often by old school friends!) but no, it’s not based on an old crush. I was reading a student/teacher (work in progress – on WattPad) and as I couldn’t sleep, I thought to myself ‘What would I do with a s/t romance?’ So that was where that element came from.

How do you feel about the response your book has gotten?

I’ve been completely overwhelmed. I didn’t expect so many people to tell me how much they enjoyed it! It’s great getting messages from fans (Fans? That is totally weird to me, that my book has FANS!) telling me how much they loved it and they can’t wait for the next installment.
I’ve had a couple of people say to me they didn’t get it, which I’m fine with, books are subjective and don’t appeal to everyone. I like hearing those views too, telling me what they didn’t like and what I could do differently. It’s helping me grow as a writer.

What's the best part about being an Indie author?

I get to control every element of my book, from the cover photo to the very last word on the final page (I may be a little bit of a control freak).

What's the worst thing about being an Indie author?

Publicity. It’s a minefield for Indie Authors! Making connections, keeping on their goodside etc to make sure your name (and of course your book’s name) get ‘out there’. With so many amazing established authors already out there it’s hard for the ‘little people’ to compete sometimes. Not many readers will often take a chance on a new and unknown author.

Do you have a favorite place to write?

In bed, in the dead of night when I should be sleeping, seems to be the place my thoughts flow more freely.

Does anything help you to write like a certain play-list, snack?

I prefer to listen to classical music when I’m reading or writing. Sometimes I’ll hear a song on the radio or TV that will trigger a scene in my head, and I’ll put it on repeat while I write out that scene. One day I sat with a song that repeated around 50 times before I finished the scene. Needless to say, I pretty much hate that song now, but when I hear it again I always think of that scene and it makes me smile.

If you could meet one other author dead or alive who would it be?

Rebecca Donovan. I read her first 2 books in The Breathing Series which in a way (other than my pregnancy problems) motivated me to write Broken Ever After, so I’d love to meet her and give her a giant cuddle.

What's the one book you feel should be on everyone's Read list?

Other than The Breathing Series? I think Colleen Hoover’s Hopeless / Losing Hope. I’ve never cried so much reading a book as I did with those. I absolutely loved them. Reading Hopeless had a similar effect on me as The Breathing Series did; it pushed me further into writing my own novel.

Thank you so much for the Interview Natalie.

Why I chose this book?

I saw a message where the author was asking for reviews and I thought it would be a book that both me and my followers would like.

What I liked about this book.

* The right amount of angst.
* The characters were easy to connect with.
* Although there is another book there is no cliffhanger.

What I didn't like about this book.

* Some parts of the story were alittle boring for me, not enough to ruin the story.
* The main heroine did annoy me slightly, sometimes she seemed alittle immature and she was talking about her feeling being ignored when she was ignoring his feelings. (will make sense when you read the book)

Would I read more from this author?

Yes I'm going to read the next one in the set.

Would I recommend this book?

Yes. To anyone who loves the good old fashion love stories.

Why did I read this book?

It's a student/teacher pairing which I have a soft spot for. Also I am friends with the author and won the book in a Facebook competition.

What did I like about the book.

* The hot stuff was hot when it happened. The first kiss *fans self*
* The author kept you guessing with the story lines and characters.
* For a first book the author shows skill and promise.

What I didn't like about the book.

* The timings. It all seemed to happen at the same time. There was no room to catch your breath.
* It's the kind of book you need to read without distractions. You can get lost or miss an important clue if your not concentrating.
* I have to wait for the next one to find out what happens next.

Would you read more by this author?

Yes. I'm in constant contact with the author so I don't miss the release of the second book.

Would I recommend this book?

Yes. To romance lover's especially those with a love for student/teacher pairing.

What others are saying about the book.

“I loved all the characters in this book and was left wanting to pick up the second book to the series right there and then.” -Francessca’s Romance Reviews

“The author is a new British author and this is her debut book and what a book! I love this book, it floored me emotionally and it's going to take me a while to get over it. Maybe even until I've read book #2” -Obsession is a Book

“The sexual tension (and release of created tension) between Olivia and Jamie Matthews is hot. Really! I was fanning myself after a couple of their "student/teacher meetings". You will fall hard for these two. So happy that they found something so innocent and naughty.”  -The Book Bar
